Infomation regarding possible changes to our attendance zone

Great News! The Attendance Zone Advisory Commision (AZAC) will be evaluating our attendance zone. The primary reason for this rezoning evaluation is north of US 95, the area south of Washington Avenue, between Jones Boulevard and Michael Way, is currently zoned to Red Rock Elementary School. These students must travel south on Jones, under US 95 to get to Red Rock ES. In recent years both Culley and McWilliams ESs received building additions, providing available classroom space. Both schools are also less than a mile from these neighborhoods, potentially providing a safer route to school for our students.

This area is scheduled to be discussed at the next AZAC meeting at 9:30 am, October 19, at the Edward A. Greer Education Center Board Room.  Information about the AZAC process and all data provided will be made available at http://azac.ccsd.net/.  

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all treats distributed during lunch or in the classroom must be store-bought, individually wrapped and nut-free. Cupcakes are not acceptable unless each cupcake is in it's own container to be passed out.

In addition, no balloons are allowed in the classroom.

In lieu of birthday treats, parents are encouraged to celebrate their child by having their name put on the marquee for just $5. See the main office for more information.

We are excited to introduce the ReInvent After-School Program (RAP) for the 2021-2022 school year! Please note, traditional Safekey will no longer be available.

RAP will be provided no-cost to families. The program is funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant and offers students a broad array of support services and activities before and after school. RAP is designed to reinforce and complement in-school curriculum through providing activities that promote student success. The seven RAP sites will provide academic growth opportunities and enrichment activities, along with family engagement programming. Enrollment is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Attendance requirements will apply beginning in September/October.

RAP Registration opens online July 26, 2021, at 9 am.

Accounts created for Safekey may be used to enroll in RAP. To register, log in using the Family Portal link on our website at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/RAP, then click on the Registration tab to select the specific school that your child will be attending.  If you have forgotten your username or password, please use the Password Reminder link on the login page.

The Harbor is a Juvenile Assessment Center that houses several community providers all under one roof. We provide assessments and services to youth and families to address their immediate and ongoing needs.
